India Coronavirus Updates: After 8 months, less than 14 thousand corona cases have been registered in a day in the country. The latest data was released by the Ministry of Health on Monday morning. According to the ministry, 13,596 new corona cases came in the last 24 hours and 166 corona infected lost their lives. 19,582 people have also been cured of corona i.e. 6152 active cases have been reduced. The new cases are the lowest in 230 days.

The Union Health Ministry said, till October 17, 97 crore 79 lakh 47 thousand doses of corona vaccine have been given across the country. 12.05 lakh vaccines were administered on the last day. At the same time, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), about 59.19 crore corona tests have been done so far. 9.89 lakh corona sample tests were done on the last day, whose positivity rate is less than 2 percent.
The death rate from corona in the country is 1.33 percent while the recovery rate is 98.10 percent. Active cases are 0.57 percent. India is now at 10th place in the world in terms of Corona Active Cases. India ranks second in terms of the total number of infected. Whereas after America, Brazil has the highest number of deaths in India.
